South Baldwin Regional Medical Center Announces New Medical Staff Leadership Appointment

(Foley, AL – January 4, 2017) – Dr. Todd Edmiston, local orthopaedic surgeon, will serve as the Medical Chief of Staff at South Baldwin Regional Medical Center for 2017. He succeeds Rico Eslava, M.D., who recently completed a one-year term.
Dr. Edmiston joined the medical staff at South Baldwin Regional Medical Center in 2010. He completed his undergraduate degree at Washington State University. Before entering medical school he spent eight years as a corpsman in the Coast Guard. He received a master’s degree in biology and his medical degree from the University of South Alabama. Following an orthopedic surgery residency at the University of South Alabama, Dr. Edmiston received advanced fellowship training in Joint Replacement and Sports Medicine at the Orthopedic Sports Medicine Clinic of Alabama, P.C. He is also board-certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery. Dr. Edmiston currently practices at The Orthopaedic Group in Foley, Alabama and specializes in joint replacement and sports medicine. He also serves as the medical director of the Orthopaedic Center at South Baldwin Regional Medical Center.
