FOLEY, AL – South Baldwin Regional Medical Center has named Margaret Roley chief executive officer, effective immediately. Roley has served as Interim CEO since the beginning of January.
“South Baldwin Regional Medical Center has a strong commitment to serving the community with pride and compassion," said Roley. “I look forward to continuing my working relationships with the board of trustees, physicians, employees and volunteers to build on the high quality healthcare, exceptional patient experiences and strong employee engagement in our community’s hospital.”
Since 2006, Roley has led hospital initiatives that continue to drive the quality of patient care provided at South Baldwin Regional Medical Center that reflect the ‘A’ Leapfrog Hospital Safety Grade and CMS four-star rating. Her strong leadership experience, knowledge of hospital operations and clinical background have guided developments including the opening of SBRMC’s freestanding emergency department located in Gulf Shores and most recently the planning and implementation of the hospital’s modernization project.
“Margaret is an exceptional leader, whose valuable expertise for growing services, working closely with physicians and achieving high quality standards will ultimately benefit our patients,” said Steve Love, chairman, South Baldwin Regional Medical Center Board of Trustees. “On behalf of the entire board, we appreciate her long-standing commitment to the hospital and community and we are excited to see Margaret in her new role.”
Born and raised in Baldwin County, Roley graduated from the University of South Alabama with bachelor’s and master’s degrees in nursing, before receiving her Doctor of Nursing Practice in 2018.
